Jack is your local residential and commercial building inspection specialist

Jack Oddy has been in the building industry for the past 27 years, starting as an apprentice carpenter and joiner with the State Electricity Commission.

His next 15 years were spent working in residential and commercial construction industries and his experience extends to multi-story developments, concrete works, wall framing, roof trusses, fixing, plastering, painting, plumbing, joinery and more. This resulted in Jack having an extensive knowledge of a vast array of building practices both in Australia and overseas, having traveled internationally for projects.

This experience was soon recognized by a successful commercial builder who employed Jack as a Site Supervisor before moving into the office as an Estimator / Project Manager. After 5 years with the company Jack moved to Broome to open and manage a new office, for the same company, in Broome WA, overseeing $22 million worth of commercial and residential projects  and heading up a staff of 50.

In August 2013 Jack returned to his home town in Gippsland, having decided to follow his long held dream of running his own business. He is now the face behind Jim's Building Inspections (Pakenham).

His extensive professional knowledge, full professional indemnity and public liability insurance along with his OH&S experience ensures that all clients will receive excellent service and peace of mind.
